DevBlog #7: It is going on!

I wish all readers and people who follow the blog a friendly and warm Hello!

Another week has passed. A lot has happened that is good, but also a lot less great.

Let's start with the semi-beautiful things: I now work in the home office. Anyone who thinks that this gives me more time because I'm almost at home around the clock and I save myself traveling to work was unfortunately wrong. I even feel as if I now have more to do, so in the evening I find even less motivation and strength to do a lot. I keep working, but it feels less intimate.

One of the absolutely good things this week is my new version for my alpha demo "How to become a goog demon-daddy - Step 1: Travel to another world". I published this this weekend. One of the latest things is the new text box, which I described in the last DevBlog. Final it looks like this:

Now every dialogue has its own place in the lower area, the name box is above and every character can be shown in its full glory. In addition to that, the dialogue of the first scene (only the german one) has now been polished up a bit thanks to the kind support of Mighty Mufflon (here is a link to his Homepage). Maybe it will be shortened a bit, but linguistically the dialogue has now taken a 180-degree turn.

Otherwise, there is nothing more to do for now. I'm going to tweak a few little things that will improve the gaming experience a bit, but these will probably not be released until the beta. This will include the rest of the first episode. Why do I still call this Beta, even though everything will be released? The answer is simple: For testing, of course! If this test phase is also passed, there may be a little update, but otherwise the first episode is successfully released.

What happens next depends solely on your feedback. If you show me that you want more (and not just a few), I will work on another episode. This story is very important to me and I still have material in stories for more, but if nobody really cares, I will of course keep the rest to myself.
